November 17th is World Cord Blood Day!
Free & Open to all.
The purpose of World Cord Blood Day is to educate students, expectant parents and health professionals about the current applications for this non-controversial source of stem cells and to highlight exciting research happening in this field of medicine.
FREE Activities Online and Offline, Around the Globe
As always, we encourage everyone to watch and share the Official WCBD Virtual Conference with healthcare staff, local families and students.
NEW! LIVESTREAM + ON-DEMAND SESSIONS:
In 2020, we are combining Livestream and On-Demand sessions to make viewing easier for all time zones.
The Opening Session will be a LIVESTREAM, featuring Dr. Moshe Israeli who will introduce everyone to cord blood through an engaging demonstration using M&M’s (yes, the candy). He will demonstrate cord blood’s important role in the HLA matching process for patients in need of a stem cell transplant and other cellular therapies. This session will also be archived as an on-demand session.
*** FREE TO REGISTER***
Following the LIVESTREAM, we will invite you to watch the numerous ON-DEMAND sessions (register on Eventbrite). Our On-Demand sessions will include introductory presentations for the public as well as academic lectures specifically designed for health professionals, led by renowned researchers and transplant doctors. In parallel, social media will help build cord blood awareness.
